We are always interested in hearing from talented and motivated individuals who want to work at the frontier of computational mechanics. Our group offers a stimulating, collaborative environment with access to excellent facilities at the University of Manchester.
We offer hands-on research projects for undergraduate students with a strong interest in computational mechanics, applied mathematics, or programming. Projects typically run over a summer or final-year dissertation. Get in touch with a brief description of your background and interests.
We recruit PhD students for curiosity-driven, industry-relevant research. We look for candidates with a strong background in mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or computer science. Funding opportunities include EPSRC DTP awards, industrial CASE studentships, and self-funded arrangements.

We support applications for independent fellowships including EPSRC Postdoctoral Fellowships, Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowships, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowships, and Newton International Fellowships — though this is not an exhaustive list and we are happy to explore other opportunities together.
If you are interested in developing your own research agenda within our group, please get in touch at least 6 months before the fellowship deadline. I am happy to work with you to develop a strong application.
